What is a day pass, and how do you get one for a coworking space, workshop or facility?
A day pass is single-day access to a place that normally sells memberships or longer bookings, such as coworking spaces, studios, maker spaces, gyms, pools, courts or workshops, paid per day instead of per month.
What is usually included?
A pass generally gives you access to the space or activity described by the venue for the agreed day or session. A coworking pass may include a desk and Wi-Fi; a workshop may include instruction and materials; a facility pass may cover entry to a particular area. Inclusions vary, so ask the venue to confirm what your pass covers.
What to ask before you go
- Hours and entry: When can you arrive, when must you leave, and do you need ID or an advance reservation?
- Guest rules: Can you bring someone, and does each person need their own pass?
- Facilities: Is Wi-Fi available? Are lockers, changing areas, equipment or meeting rooms included?
- Activities and equipment: Is an induction required? Do you need to bring anything or meet experience requirements?
- Booking terms: Confirm the venue’s price, payment process and cancellation or rescheduling policy before booking.
How to find a day pass
Ask the venue directly whether it offers single-day access for your intended date and group size. Describe what you want to use so the venue can explain the right access and terms.
